Education

Graduate Education

Currently, I am a PhD Candidate in Political Science at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. My areas of focus are Women and Politics and Comparative Politics. 

In 2008, I completed a Graduate Certificate in Political Action Committees (PACs) and Political Management at The George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management. 

In 2006 while conducting my Fulbright research in the Dominican Republic I received a Graduate Certificate in Political Science from la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO). 

Undergraduate Education 

In 2005, I received my B.A. in Spanish and Political Science from Spelman College. Spelman is a Historically Black College for women founded as Atlanta Baptist Female Seminary in 1881 by Sophia B. Packard and Harriet E. Giles.

During the 2003-2004 school year I studied abroad in Mexico, Spain and the Dominican Republic.
